Position Overview

Anchored within the CFO office, the highly strategic role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company’s sustainability plan and overall initiatives. This role involves creating strategies to reduce our environmental impact, handle social responsibility in line with objectives, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and engaging with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainable practices. It also includes having the responsibility for internal and external communication on sustainability matters, including the CSRD/ESRS reporting.  The role will also entail coordination and interaction with Ingka Group on Sustainability matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development and Implementation: Craft and execute sustainability strategies that align with our company’s goals, conduct assessments to identify improvement areas, and manage sustainability plans.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, prepare and submit sustainability statements and reports, and monitor the impact of initiatives. Ensure and monitor adequate processes for regular internal reporting of ESG metrics.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Drive the sustainability agenda by collaborating with internal and external Ikano Bank stakeholders, educating employees on sustainable practices, and representing our bank in relevant forums. Key point of contact towards Ingka Group on Sustainability matters.
  • Project Management: Lead sustainability projects, coordinate with departments, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Prepare and carry out the Double Materiality Assessment process, thus addressing ESG risks and their mitigations.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on sustainability trends, analyze data, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Communication and Advocacy: Develop communication strategies, advocate for sustainable practices, and promote our initiatives internally and externally. Subject Matter Expert on ESG matters in Ikano Bank

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in sustainability management or environmental compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability practices, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Analytical skills to assess and report on performance.
  • Passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Preferred Skills:

  • Significant experience with sustainability reporting frameworks.
  • Familiarity with energy management systems and waste reduction techniques.
  • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

  • Occasional travel to various sites and locations.
  • Ability to work in both office and field environments.

Position overview:

Ikano Bank is seeking a skilled Payment Operations Manager to join our team in Malmö/Hyllie. This role involves managing the payment infrastructure and ensuring its effective operation on a day-to-day basis. The Payment Operations Manager plays a crucial part in maintaining compliance, addressing payment-related risks, and driving continuous process improvements within the payments area.

Your role & responsibilities as Payment operations manager

  • Manage and lead the payments team to ensure the payment infrastructure operates smoothly.
  • Process and execute incoming and outgoing payments accurately and timely.
  • Support the Finance team in analysing and investigating unresolved payment issues.
  • Maintain and update the incoming and outgoing payment filing system.
  • Administer and respond to the department's email inbox and threads promptly.
  • Investigate unclear payments and escalate challenges as necessary.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across different countries and departments within Ikano Bank.
  • Collaborate with partners, customer support teams, collection teams, accounting team, AML representatives, and the Financial Crime Team to resolve payment issues.
  • Ensure strong processes related to operational risk, anti-money laundering, and financial compliance are executed effectively.
  • Suggest continuous improvements to processes and infrastructure, focusing on compliance, risk awareness, efficiency, and digitalization.

What skills will you bring?

  • Strong team leadership and managerial skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of payment processes and systems.
  • Deep understanding of risk and compliance management within the payments area.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

What experience will you bring?

  • More than 5 years of working experience as a manager, particularly in managing payments within banks.
  • Significant experience in managing payment operations.
  • Significant experience of process analysis and improvement
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or business administration.
  • More than 2 years of experience as a people manager.

You will be the manager of an organization consisting of AML specialists including one sub-team. This includes also being responsible for the technical solutions and the tech specialists. The overall objective for you as Head of AML Excellence is to align, amend, implement, and manage AML processes with highest possible cost efficiency while supporting Ikano Banks ambition in terms of customer satisfaction, growth, profitability and to ensure full compliance with external and internal regulations within the area. It also includes representing AML in the transformation of the banks with new products and system enhancements.

Key responsibilities in this role is to implement and continuously follow and improve the AML strategy bank-wide, i.e, all eight markets.

  • Ability to lead new and developing business during changing times in an efficient and simple way.
  • Profound understanding of EU and Swedish AML regulation
  • Deep knowledge of AML systems and models

  • Proven managerial experience with strong coaching skills and leading teams (at least 3 years)
  • Hands-on experience of managing complex customer cases on a regular basis and optimizing from a process improvement perspective.
  • Deep banking business understanding
  • Experience of system management and technical dialogues and requirements.
  • Feel comfortable when it comes to stakeholder management working with for example branch managers and general management in the bank.
  • Can build trust and communicate clearly with different people in various situations.
  • Ability to balance the needs of the business with the wellbeing of the co-workers.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and also in one of the Nordic languages.
